Alvin and the Chipmunks were one of the most popular TV and musical cartoons of all time. Created by actor Ross Bagdasarian, Alvin and the Chipmunks were created by recording Bagdasarian’s voice at normal speed and then speeding up the tape for playback. The 1958 release of 'Witch Hunt' shot to #1 on the pop chart. The rodents followed with another Top-40 hit titled 'The Chipmunk Song.'
Alvin, Simon, and Theodore sang their way into the hearts of America in the '60s, and they maintained that popularity well into the '80s.
