December 9

I am assuming that I slept pretty deep in sleep last night. I didn’t even get up from the bed until 9am. I got up from the bed, still a little sore from the fall yesterday, and went down to breakfast. On the dinning room table was a note from Mrs. Claus “Dear Santa, remember today is workshop inspection day. I have gone out to inspect the doll workshop as well as the paint workshop. You can handle the others with your inspection team. Love, Jessica”.

Ho, Ho, Ho, what a wonderful person she is. Well, I am already running late, so I need to get going. I have to get the inspections completed before I can go to the sleigh shop and talk with Bells about my sleigh. Lets see, inspections for today for me are the ornament room, the fire truck room, the board game room and the electronics room. Plus I have to be able to get to the sleigh shop.

I started my inspections around Christmas Town. I went to the board game room first. I inspected the flatness of the boards, the piece size and uniformity and packaging, check. Next was the fire truck room. I inspected the lights working, sirens working, hoses that fire water, movable ladders and brightness of the red in the truck, check. On to the ornament room. I inspected the colors of the ornaments, the print for misspelling’s, the sentiment value and ornament string durability, Check. Finally to the electronics room. In amazement I stood there in awe looking at robots and video games, keyboards and everything else you could imagine that needed electronic parts. I didn’t know where to begin the inspection! Then Elf Grey came up to me and said “Santa go ahead and go, I know you don’t know a lot about electronics’ so I will do the inspection for you”. I stated that would be wonderful! Thank you very much Grey! “Anytime Santa” replied Grey. I looked at my watch and saw that I had a half hour until 5pm when the sleigh shop closed and it is clear on the other side of Christmas Town!! “ I must go, thank you again Grey” I said and off I went.

I walked all the way across town to the sleigh shop with 5 minutes to spare. I went inside and there was Bells. “Bells, we need to talk my dear”! I said. “Yes Santa”? said Bells. I then asked Bells “ Why did you decommission my sleigh Bells”? “ We need that sleigh to deliver presents in”! “Why would you ever do something like that without me giving the ok on it”?

Bells then said “ come here Santa and have a seat”. I sat down and she proceeded to say “ I have been your chief mechanic at the sleigh shop for over 250 years and I assume that you trust me”. “I do Bells”. “Then Santa, I will ask you to go home, have that trust in me and come see me first thing in the morning”. Said Bells. “But the ….” I started to say to Bells when she stopped me and said “ Tomorrow Santa, trust me”! “Ok Bells, I will be here first thing in the morning” I said, “ Goodnight………”!
