December 8

I woke before the sun with thoughts in my mind about the devastation to Christmas this situation with the sleigh may have. If there is no sleigh how can we have a Christmas? How can I deliver toys to all the good little boys and girls of the world? The children of the world will have a miserable Christmas!

While waiting for the Sleigh shop to open and for Bells to get there I paced around my office some. Ok, ok, Maybe a little more than some pacing and yes I may need a new rug but I pace when I get worried. I tried to work on some projects while waiting on Bells to come into work. I reorganized my bookshelves. I straightened up my desk. I dusted, swept the floor, did the windows all while waiting on Bells.

Finally the opening whistle blew!! That means Bells would be at work now! I grabbed my coat and rushed right over to the sleigh shop. Walking through the snow and having my mind wander about the sleigh I didn’t notice a patch of ice on the ground. I managed to step right on that spot and my boot went out from underneath me and the next thing I knew I was waking up back at home, in my bed with an ice pack on my head.

“ Wha..wh…What happened….ooohhh” ? I said as I tried to rise from my bed. Jessica was there and she explained that this morning I rushed to the sleigh shop and slipped and fell on some ice. That I had hit my head and blacked out. That the elves and reindeer helped get you home and in the bed”. I asked “how long have I been out Jessica”? Jessica said, “well you hit your heard around 8am and it is now 5pm, so 9 hours dear”. 9 HOURS!!!!, OH NO!, I needed to talk to Bells about the sleigh! Now the shop is closed and another day has passed which means it is one day closer to Christmas and I still do not have a sleigh!!!

Jessica stated that there is no need to worry, you know everything will come together and everything will be just fine for the big trip. Now you sit and try to relax. Watch some T.V. and I am going to go make you some soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Thank you dear, I appreciate it, and thank all my elves for their kind hearts in helping me today! About 30 minutes later Jessica came in and brought a nice big bowl of chicken noodle soup and a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches. I sat there in bed with my dinner and turned on the T.V. A commercial was on so I took a bite of my sandwich. Then the show came on, it was “The Santa Clause”, and right there on the screen was a big bright sleigh, and there went my resting and onset the worrying.

I thought to myself “my sleigh, what about my sleigh, gosh darn it”, I guess all I can do is sit and wait until tomorrow and then go see Bells, but this time a little slower in my walk!!!

Until Tomorrow Goodnight!
