Everyone has been very busy. If they haven’t been at work in the workshop, they have been building a new playground at the Elementary School. 15 huge, wooden, swing sets with 12 swings each frame most of the playground. 12 different styles of jungle gyms are or will be scattered around throughout the play area. 20 large forts with 6 to 8 slides each that bump and twist every which way will be there too! I sure wish they would make one big enough for me! I have wonderful memories of playing on the playgrounds. I spent hours swinging on the swings. I was an Olympic gold medallist at swinging the highest I would swing so I my feet would touch the stars. I won gold medals at getting the swing to spin the fastest while I was on it. In my mind I could win every gold medal there was. Sometimes I would wrap the swing up very tight and hop on. That was when I would pretend I was drilling a hole all the way to the South Pole. Some times I would swing across many very deep ravines to get to the to the other side. It was the only way to cross of course. The forts were my space ships and I would blast off and go all over the universe. I'd find new planets and scout dangerous mountains and valleys! Sometimes my friends and I would play Cowboys and Indians. Usually the boys were the cowboys and the girls were the Indians because we didn't want any girls in our forts. They would sneak up on the fort and we would ambush them with snowballs while we defended the forts from the bad Indians. Our parents would laugh and tell us some day we would want girls in our forts. Ho! Ho! Ho! We thought they were crazy…that's for sure. The jungle gyms were mountains to scale and climb down. I found many precious gems in the deepest areas of dark, cold caves and then had to climb to the top for safety. Usually just about the time I would be about to conquor my 4th or 5th major waterfall my Mom would call me for dinner and I always had to take the highest waterfall and twist and turn and bounce over the rocks to get to Mom and food.
I have lost most of the day on the playground and hearing my mother calling me and going home from a rough day of adventure. What I was actually hearing was my phone ringing and Mrs. Claus calling me so I will close my memories for now and go eat dinner.
I did do something productive today. I went to see how Miseriff is doing. He is back at work but on very light duty. He still has a very nasty bruise on his shoulder and we don't want him to push himself. Miseriff sends his love and says to tell you he really likes all the nice things you have been saying about him.
DINNER! DINNER! That word keeps pounding in my head. If I don't get a move on Mrs. Claus will lose her voice calling me. So, since I had all that adventure and am very hungry I think I will go find some food!
