December 6

Today was an adjustment. Usually I wake to Mrs. Claus having a wonderful breakfast planned out for me but today I had to heat some oatmeal myself. It has been so long since I have had to cook for myself that is all I could remember how to make. It was good, a bit on the lumpy side, but it did the trick considering how cold it is here at the North Pole right now. My dear Frosty has enlisted the help of the snowmen army he had sent away, to make sure Mrs. Claus stayed safe. HO! HO! HO! I have to say my little elves are not letting this beat them either. They did what they knew Mrs. Claus would have laughed at…they decorated her! They put one of my hats and one of my coats on her, some tinsel and a garland with some very pretty lights. Mrs. Claus would be laughing so hard right now! I guess that’s why they took pictures, so they could show her how much fun she still is at the moment. HO! HO! HO!

Today remained quiet from Vernon but NiteTime and Loopy came back and NiteTime’s theory was right, the ooze is heavier than water and sank before it all froze. NiteTime and Loopy are going to run tests later and see what they can come up with. As for me, I have to keep going, answering lots and lots of wonderful letters. I hope you are getting my replies! I checked into a young family, they had a brand new baby boy the other week and they are doing so well. They are so excited to have their baby’s first Christmas. Joy such as that makes it all worthwhile. It also starts a new beginning with the Christmas Spirit: when a family has a new baby, the parents start to believe in me again. They remember the innocence of their childhood and the joy and magic that Christmas has to hold, so the Christmas Spirit starts anew for them and lasts for the rest of their lives. There are a lot of parents that restart their family traditions or begin new ones of their own and carry them all on year after year, spreading the love that Christmas brings. It’s with moments such as this that I can actually begin checking up on the parents again in my magic snow globe. I get to see how much they have done in their lives. It is truly beautiful!

I must go now my darlings but I wish you dreams of sleigh bells and marshmallow pillows. Goodnight! 19 days of waiting to see you again! HO! HO! HO!
