December 6

So I woke waaayyy before everyone else this morning. I actually got the opportunity to get Jingles back by waking him up. Ho Ho Ho, you should have seen Jingles jump!! He almost came right out of his candycane striped long johns! When he got up from the floor I asked him to gather the chief elves and that I know it is early but I am requesting some help to do something for Mrs. Claus. Jingles said that “ I am right on it sir, right on it” as he yawned.

As the chief elves came in I apologized for the early wake up call and told them my plan. By the end of the meeting they were all smiling, except elf Loopy. He was wet because we had to wake him up with a bucket of water!! Ho Ho Ho!! He didn’t like that surprise. The elves all had their assignments now. Operations were to run as normal with the exception of if Mrs. Claus came looking for me she was to be diverted so she could not find me.

Throughout the day I scampered and dodged around Mrs. Claus. I gathered some elves that were good in music and dancing. I recruited some of our animals friends to help out as well. We gathered supplies from the different workshops around Christmas Town in order to accomplish my goal. Around 3 in the afternoon I had elf Sprinkles go get Mrs. Claus and take her into town where at the clothing store was a brand new dress waiting for her. While they were out I made a glorious dinner of stuffed pork loin with a orange and cranberry reduction, twice baked potato and honey glazed baby carrots!! When Mrs. Claus and elf Sprinkles returned there was a note on the front door to go put the dress on and meet me in the dinning room.

Mrs. Claus arrived wearing the new dress and I was in my best Santa suit! The table was laid out with the best plates and utensils. Candles flickered back and forth and I looked at her and said “I love you”! At that moment some of the elves helping out, came in and served us the meal I had cooked. I said, “please, sit, eat and enjoy our time”. We sat and ate the dinner where after I said “there is more”. I lead Mrs. Claus out to the back of the house where a stage of ice was made. Nearby was a fire to sit next to and stay warm. The elves I had gathered earlier then presented themselves with first a half hour chorus of Christmas music followed by the performance of “The Nutcracker on Ice”. Mrs. Claus glowed as she smiled.

After the performance we all, Mrs. Claus, the elves, reindeer and the animal friends that helped out, went inside and had fresh baked cookies and hot chocolate. At the end of the night, all snug in our bed and ready to dream all I heard was “ I love you too Santa”! I smiled and off to bed we went.

Goodnight all, stay warm and cozy and have very good slumber!
