December 3

Um, well I know this is Santa’s journal but I felt that it is, um, needed to be kept up. I know that you don’t understand what I am saying right now but let me explain so you do understand. Let me start by explaining who I am and then I will explain what is going on.

My name is Elf Jingles. I usually work side by side with Santa, um I am sure he has mentioned me, but anyways here is why I am writing in Santa’s journal. I read Santa’s last entry from yesterday and I would like to state what happened next. After I was trying to tell Santa about the storm and he said the reindeer could handle it, I wasn’t able to get out that it was a big storm and over the Bermuda Triangle which was in Santa’s flight path for last night. Now here is the reason I am writing in the journal, last night there had to have been a problem with the flight. Santa never made it home last night. Now, now don’t panic. I know it sounds awful but this is Santa we are talking about. Santa is a trooper and can handle anything that comes his way. Here at the NorthPole we are continuing on as Santa would want us to. The presents are being made and the preparations are still being made for the big night. We have assembled an elite group of elves to go search for Santa and the missing reindeer. They should be leaving the NorthPole by tomorrow morning. They have the upmost confidence that they will find Santa in time for the big night.

We elves promise to make sure everything keeps going on as usual here and one of us elves will write in the journal every night just as Santa would. Whichever elf writes in the journal will also give you an update on Santa’s rescue. So you’re going to have to read the journal everyday to find out what is going on. Also keep those letters coming, we will keep them safe for Santa when he returns to the NorthPole. As far as the general workings of things, I along with Mrs. Claus, will be overseeing the progress here at the NorthPole. I never knew how much Santa did until now. I know from my stand point it is a little overwhelming. I know the first thing on my duty list for tonight is to take reports from elves from around the world. I know tonight we are suppose to have part of the mid-west of the USA check in, part of the Netherlands and UK, Southeast Asia and part of Africa. That is a lot of elves to talk to in one night. I better tell Mrs. Jingles not to wait up for me. As far as which other elves will help write in the journal, I am not sure but I know that someone will come to help out! There are a tons of elves here at the NorthPole and all are unique in their own right.

So I guess I will end this day of the journal. Just remember children, Santa is magic! Santa will be fine and will be home safe and sound soon. We will not let him or you down. I know that this is upsetting, it is to us as well but everything will be just fine. So as Santa would say “Sweet dreams Santa’s darlings and sleep tight!”
