December 3

I saw something that is very, very rare here at the North Pole. Not just here at Christmas Town but the entire North Pole. What is it? Elves blowing up water floatation devices! You know rafts, tubes and beach balls. Beach balls? Yes, beach balls! It seems the elves have built swimming pools. Not one but actually 4 very large ones. Three for them and one of the biggest pools I have ever seen for the animals. Where, you ask? Underground in a huge area below my house, the workshop and two of the supply sheds. It seems they made a branch tunnel off of our major tunnel that all of us and most of the animals use, then dug a tunnel downward and made a nice swimming area. How did I find it? I followed the signs shaped like a seal. Once I discovered it I went back home and told Mrs. Claus and, of course, she wanted to go so we went. We had to “sign up” to be assigned a locker for our things, but I noticed our names already on the lockers when we approached them. After we changed into our swimming suits we looked around some more. I discovered a room behind the last pool and went inside. To my surprise I found another pool. It was about the same size as the other three but was very shallow. There were slides, sprinklers, poles, doors, tubes and lots of wee elfrin running happily around and squealing with delight. I found and talked to Titan Rider, who is head of our GIT department (Geological Ice Team) and he told me that the area has always been here just never used. He also said that the area was secured with several braces just to be safe and since the area was naturally heated no extra building or equipment was need. After lunch I realized I had wasted the entire morning and after changing I rushed back to the workshop and got a lot of work done. Now I am very tired…Good Night.

The answer to yesterday’s Christmas Trivia question is.

“Somebody snitched on me.”
