December 2

As I mentioned yesterday, Rudolph, Blitzen, Harley and I had planned to go take a look around the area outside of Christmas Town. We did find the area Harley had been talking about but due to the heavy snow last night there was not a lot to see. But we looked around, shifted some snow around looking for anything odd but nothing seemed that strange. At least not to me. Harley still felt a bit uncomfortable but Rudolph and Blitzen didnít share his feelings at all! So we did some more riding in a wider arc seeing what there was to see and hoping to find anyone that could tell us about the camp we had just explored. Of course there was no one, so we decided to head on back.

The journey back home took us close to Mistyberg and since it was just about time for a late lunch we stopped in to visit our friends. Amalie was right there at the front of the welcoming committee. It had been a while since she and Harley had spent time together so shortly after our arrival the two of them disappeared laughing and having a good time. There was a bit of excitement about the addition of a new fire sleigh that all the seals and elves were eager to show me. So for most of the afternoon I walked around seeing the decorations and the new addition to the North Poles Fire Department.

The electronics shop was buzzing buzzing buzzing as the shop worked rapidly on getting MP3 players, Cell Phones, Wii, Nintendoís and hundreds of gadgets put together. Everything was looking just as good as can be expected. Of course gadgets are the one area that is constantly behind because of all the requests made each year. We never know if there will be time or not to finish it all. But you can be sure the elves work as hard as can be.

We got back to Christmas Town just in time for dinner. Harley decided to stay in Mistyberg and spend some vacation time with his friends and newfound family there. But I was home in plenty of time for Jessica to serve up a nice yummy dinner! Some baked chicken, Brussels Sprouts, potatoes and a nice Mince Meat pie for desert. She is certainly one mighty good cook!

So now I must get to sleep. A day away from town means twice the work to do the next day. So goodnight to all and to all a good night.
