Loopy and I took the sleigh and reindeer out for a quick trip to check on all the kids in America. We saw Kathy, with her beautiful long hair. Tommy was talking with his grandfather and promised to keep working hard in school. Mary was shopping with her Mommy and Daddy, and she said she was going to listen to them from now on and not run off. Jason was very good at the doctor’s during his check-up. Sarah was playing with Alice, Heather and Michelle. I found Mark and Brian riding their horses.
See you must try to be good girls and boys all year long, not just at Christmas time. You never know when Santa will take a ride and check up on you.
You probably know that North Americans say “Merry Christmas” when greeting people at this time of year. In Hawaii they say Mele Kalikimaka. But, Did you know that not all Americans celebrate Christmas? Many celebrate Hannukah, the Jewish Festival of lights, and others celebrate Kwanzaa, the African American holiday.
