“I hear those sleigh bells Ringling, Jing, Jing, jingling too”. Come on its ….nice outside and I have tons and tons of work to do! However, I do hear all the sleigh bells from the traffic outside my window. We chose tonight to go to the penguin Terrace. When we talked about it I told Mrs. Claus that I really couldn’t take any more time away from the workshop with our big trip only five days away. If she really wanted to go, and I knew she did because I wanted to go, I would take the whole evening off instead of just enough time for dinner and then maybe go into the workshop for part of the late shift. I need to get work done and be home on time for dinner.

I arrived home three minutes ahead of the time we decided dinner would be. After dinner we prepared to go to the Terrace. I was dressed and ready to go long before she was. As long as we have been married I have never figured out what takes her so long. Sure, sure, she has to put on makeup and fix her hair just so, but I have to cut my nails and comb my hair and beard! Have you ever tried to comb this beard? It’s not a whoosh, whoosh and then it’s done, and I still beat her. Of course when she finally does come down the long wait is always well worth it. There just isn’t a more beautiful woman in this whole wide world!

The penguins had a very cute show. First the little ones did some hip hop dances and then did “The Dance of the Wooden Soldiers”. Ho, ho, ho. They had such a wonderful time. Those happy feet were just a tappin’. The main show was the penguin’s version of “The Nutcracker”. Now, between you and me, I have seen “The Nutcracker” performed by many ballet companies with long-legged ballerinas and the pirouettes, jetes, Sauté, and tour en l’air didn’t look anything like the penguins version. *Wink and chuckle* * chuckle and wink*. The penguins danced their hearts out and had so much fun. The audience loved it. Mrs. Claus and I enjoyed it immensely and that’s what counts. The penguins “Night At The Terrace” was an over whelming success!
