All the elves that are on the 2nd and 3rd shifts took Christmas trees over to St. Elfwhere for the staff to decorate. The patients that are able to get out of bed and walk or be in a wheelchair helped decorate too. Hot chocolate and cookies were served and everyone sang Christmas Carols. Jingles was there and told me all about it. He said they took the cookies and hot chocolate to each room and either sang with the patients or sang to them. He said a group of them went floor to floor and from one end of the wing to the other. They had a wonderful time and were sorry it had to end but second shift had to report to work. However they didnít report directly to work. When the 1st shift was leaving the workshop they got bombarded with snowballs. The 2nd and 3rd shifts were laying in ambush. I watched and listened for a while. It sounded like all the children of the world playing when I go to check on them. It was fun to listen to but I had to put a stop to it and get 3rd shift home to sleep a bit, 1st shift home for dinner and 2nd shift in to work.
