December 14

Every year the Elves have what they call a shift party. Day shift, evening shift, and night shift. Today was the night shift party. Mrs. Claus and I, of course attend all 3 parties.

All the Elves that work on the night shift went down to Caulder's Pond for a skating pudding party, and that's exactly how it turned out. Ho ho ho! *wink and chuckle, chuckle and wink* A very large caldron of chocolate pudding was put in the center of the pond. It becomes our "snackbar". We have pudding, chat with each other about anything but the workshop. The party started off very well, it was a lovely evening! Elf Twinkie arrived, a little late as usual, put on her skates and started out on the pond. Apparently she noticed Elf Moonlight and started towards her. Mrs Claus and I were watching and laughing because she was picking up a good head of steam. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Elves Bells and CandyCane rounding the bend. Yes, I'm afraid the three of them collided. Twinkie fell smack on her b..., well, she fell down and skidded into the caldron of chocolate pudding with such force that it fell onto its side spilling pudding on the ice. Twinkie finally came to a stop just short of a very massive amount of chocolate flowing from the center of the pond to the edge in about a two foot wide river. Elf Angel comes from around the bend and seeing the mess up ahead of her and panics!! I have never in all my born days seen such a beautiful belly flop! Ho Ho Ho. Poor Angel she is not that good of a skater. She slid face first right into all that pudding! She will be in the shower a long time getting all the pudding out of her ears!! The Elves that were trying to help Twinkie and Angel were sticking to the ice!!

Mrs. Claus and I laughed all the way home. I then went to the workshop to check on things there. The day shift Elves already knew about the great evening at the pond and decided they were going to have a sledding party.

By Jingles I am really tired. Today was fun and its now time for supper. I can't wait till the sled party.
