Now that the avalanche has all been cleared away, except for some minor mounds, Mrs. Claus has decided to have an open house "digging out dinner". I decided that because of all the hard work that has been done here that all of us could use a day off to do something special with our families. Mrs. Claus and I took our sleigh and went on a picnic. She always packs lots of delicious food for me and tons of carrots for the reindeer. It was a beautiful ride through the woods. The birds were singing and all the snow lying on the trees made them look like they were decorated in a garland of sparkling white. With all the stress of the last few weeks I had forgotten how beautiful Christmas Town really was. It glistened so brightly in the sunlight that I could actually feel the magic everywhere I looked. I could see Chocolate Lake and Peppermint Bridge, our home just above and to the right of them, and the Workshop in all its glory. Mrs. Claus and I had a wonderful time and really didnít want to come back home but she had to get ready for the dinner tonight.
