SAAAAANNNNNNTTTTAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I jumped up from my chair in my office and turned to see Elf Jingle Bella come running into my office with a cloud of smoke at her feet. Ho! Ho! Ho! What is the matter Jingle Bella? Santa she said, oh my goodness we have never seen anything like this at the NorthPole, not ever!! Well, tell me then, what is the problem? Jingle Bella looked at me with a blank stare in her eyes and said “Ice Pirates!!!!! They are plundering Christmas Town. They are raiding everything!!!” Well, I got a very serious chill run down my back and I said to Jingle Bella “Focus with me, is anyone hurt?” and Jingle Bella said “no Santa, we went into hiding but there are 2 elves missing.” Which elves are missing I said to Jingle Bella. Jingle Bella gulped, her eyes teared up and she said “ Elf GreenEyes and Elf JingleBombs.” Hmmp! I said. Where are they I asked Jingle Bella and she replied that she saw them be taken to the huge Ice Pirate Ship! I heard them say that they were going to take all the toys that we have already made and they were going to take more elves when they found them so they can make toys for the Ice Pirates children. Well then Jingle Bella, I guess I am going to have to go down there and see what’s going on with them. Jingle Bella begged me not to go but I had to, I am the one that is responsible for the elves well being.
I got ready to go and told Jingle Bella to stay here and not to let Mrs. CLaus out of the house. I started making my way into Christmas town and along the path I usually take there were broken ornaments and dropped presents. As I peered down the path I take notice that the huge festive Christmas tree that sits in the center of town was knocked down on it’s side. The lights on the tree flickering, the tinsel torn and everything in disarray. There was no Christmas music in the air, there was no smell of baked good floating to tickle my nose. The only activity going on was the sight of Ice Pirates going from building to building, carrying items out with them and back to their ship, the sound of destruction was echoing from everywhere. It all just saddened my heart, but I knew I could not dwell on it, I had elves to find and rescue!!
I decided to slow down a bit since I was to the back of the Ice Pirates and they couldn’t see me. I could see they were only half way through Christmas Town and haven’t made it to the toyshop yet, I knew I had some time but not a lot. Then all of a sudden I see all the Pirates start heading back to the ship. I look over and I see who I presume is the Captain and he is calling them all back to ship except a handful to watch the town until morning. The Captain yelled out “ Ye Scurvy’s get back here and those that stay behind, keep your eyes open we need more elves!” The Captain then walked down into a cabin in the Ice Ship and was gone. I knew I had time now to plan. I worry for my elves but I must be prepared! I must go now my darling’s! Sleep well, sleep tight and don’t worry, I will make things right!
