We are getting the digging done with great speed! A lot of the area is out from under all the snow and ice. All the temporary elves are doing a wonderful job helping out here. However, I must confess that I can't wait until all is back to "normal", or as normal as it can be around here, and they can all go back to their families. The carrying ons are just getting a bit out of hand.
Why just yesterday Grey was putting together one of the big red toy fire trucks and went to pick up a black tire for it. That tire jumped into the air and scooted across the banister! Everyone was in shock! Around and around the workshop the tire went and there was laughter now and then. When I couldn't take it anymore I called for every sprite in the workshop to become visible. You know what I discovered? They were playing hockey and the fire truck tire was the puck!
Need another example of the chaos? Just the other evening Sweet and Chef were out for a nice walk. They were just about in front of the new steakhouse that is under construction but not complete because of the avalanche, when out came 4 very large steaks and a rack of ribs with large, menacing eyes. Chef ducked and tripped over a roll of tarpaper, lost his balance and rammed head first into the candy cane shaped barber pole, then fell into a holly bush. Sweet was so frightened she could not move so the steaks surrounded her singing "Ring Around The Rosy" until she fainted.
Oh sleigh bells!! To get through this digging and clearing the roads!
